My One and Only New Year’s Resolution
At the beginning of this year I made a list of great, insightful, well balanced and (not so) easy goals to achieve. They all had evaluations
marks for using them around the year and were done according to the best advices I’ve read so far. Except, by the time my list was done, so it
was my enthusiasm.
Achieving goals is not as easy as setting them!
I want my 2015 to be about things I've done and not about things I wish I had done. I want my year to be about acceptance, strength, love and compassion. I want to be about I CAN, not about I CAN’T!
So, I’ve redone my list and I’ve narrowed it down to less resolutions, but with much more impact upon my own life. But still, there were too many to start with, and since this can be very discouraging for me I’ve decided to still shrink the second list to only one, simple resolution. And this is what I’ve came to:
Make my bike my best pal which can help me achieve my goals!
So, I’m decided, this year I will make my bike my best buddy to help me achieve my New Year’s Resolutions.
My bike it’s going to help me:
1. Have a better attitude; There are a lot of good and positive things that can come out of riding my bike. Read here the psychological advantages of cycling.
2. Plan more me-time; Yes, I know this is very hard, especially with a very crowded schedule, but riding your bike makes you a better person, and it really worth doing it!
3. Exercise well; No wonders that my bike is going to be of great help achieving this resolution! I will prepare it and cherish its contribution to my health.
4. Have some fun; O, yeh! Totally agree with this. For some of us for whom riding a bike is a passion, even riding the bike by yourself can be of great value! So, go ahead and plan your next riding escape, and enjoy it!
5. Cut activities that doesn’t count; Again it comes about planning. Cut the social media time in half… and any other activity that only consumes your time but brings nothing in return.
6. Spend quality time with the loved ones; Planning rides with family and friends, vacations and getaways can be a lot of fun, and will empower the relationships and teach valuable lessons.
We all need inspiration and great motivation to become better persons, therefore, go ahead and share with us your motivation for your new year, and the ways you plan to achieve them.
Have a great, and fulfilling year!
