5 Tips to Fulfill Your New Year’s Resolutions
Each year many of us will go through a more or less complete check-up at year’s end wishing for more and better for year to come. Setting New Year's resolutions is not obsolete just because the statistics say that most people does not achieve their goals. It is an affirmation that you're interested in fully living life in the year to come.
Goals give us direction. They put a powerful force into play on a universal, conscious, and subconscious level.
Let’s set New Year’s Resolutions and let’s create a list of tips that can help us achieve them.
1. Give room to passion
Do a life and heart check first! Consider your attitude toward the small tasks that comprise your days. Look for a new passion for the small stuff in your life, because sometimes small things can be a really big deal!.Enjoy the year ahead!
2. Surround Yourself with gratitude
Take a moment to thank someone who has blessed or encouraged you in a small way and do it as often as you can. Your small gift of gratitude could make a big difference for you and for somebody else as well.
3. Small and measurable steps
Break your goal into a more steps, focusing on creating sub-goals that are concrete, measurable and time-based. Keep a handwritten journal, or a computer spreadsheet or print them with graphs or pictures to have them in front of your eyes.
4. Revisit the resolutions you made
Do not forget to revisit them at least once every month. Set up a date (like the first day of the month when you change the calendar page) and make a habit of reevaluate your goals.
5. Tell Somebody Else
Having an accountability partner works great and can keep you motivated. I know that needs you to be vulnerable in front of somebody else, but do it anyway! A friend is a good support that sets you apart from failure.
