2013 Bicycle Friendly State Ranking
Guess who ranks first for the sixth time in a row at the Friendly State Contest?
League of American Bicyclists released its 2013 Bicycle Friendly State ranking on the first of May, which is National Bike Month. Yes, Washington ranks first, with Colorado coming in second.
States were evaluated based on legislation and enforcement, policies and programs, infrastructure and funding, education and encouragement, and evaluation and planning. Here are the first ten:
- Washington
- Colorado
- Oregon
- Minnesota
- Delaware
- Massachusetts
- New Jersey
- Wisconsin
- Illinois
- Arizona
